Veda News: We’re Moving To Denver!

Hi there! It’s HUMP DAY!! These weeks leading up the big-ole month off are killing me with client work and I’m counting down the days now. I’m beyond excited about the wedding/honeymoon and I have some more exciting news to share today. The mister and I have been scrambling to make everything work out, but the decision is made…we’re moving to Denver as soon as we get back from our Honeymoon, we have called the movers already!!! We’re really good at booking our schedules solid. haha. Someone recently joked, “why don’t you just throw a kid into the mix too!”. Oh man, the thought of coordinating it all makes me grateful for the efficiency of Three Movers and moving storage services.

It used to be a pain to change your address. You would have to go to the post office, wait in line to get the right form, fill it out and turn it in to the clerk. It could take a half hour or more just to get this done. When you are in the process of moving, that is time that could be much better spent on other things. If you want to get more about the ADT Moving company, do visit. But now there are websites that allow you to submit your change of address online for free. Moving hаѕ bесоmе thе essential раrt оf various families аnd company owners. If you are looking for the service to relocating your pets, here is best option for you. People relocate simply bесаuѕе thеу wish tо dо ѕо оr ѕоmе mоvе wіth аn obligation tо mоvе. People hаvе various reasons tо mоvе оr relocate. Finding opportunities, nоt comfortable wіth thе surrounding аnd mаnу mоrе ѕuсh reasons аrе bеhіnd thе relocation оf ѕеvеrаl families аnd corporate offices. At montrealmovers website you will get best moving service.

The online form is simple and only takes about 2 minutes to fill out and submit. The process is fast, safe, and secure and can even eliminate some of the problems that can occur when filling out a form by hand. Hand written forms can be difficult to read and it is possible for information to be entered incorrectly into the system. Even something as simple as 2 numbers being reversed can mean that your mail will go to the wrong place. However, by entering the information online and verifying it yourself, you help to ensure that your mail is forwarded to the right address. How you can change of address utah, check here.

A Post Office change of address is an important thing to take care of before you move. You don’t want to miss any important bills, financial statements or other items that may still have your old address on them. It used to be somewhat of a hassle to change your address with the Post Office. You often had to go to the post office, wait in line, ask the clerk for the correct form, fill it out, sign it, and turn it in. There also could be problems if a postal employee had trouble reading your writing or entered some information incorrectly into the system. For example, switching 2 numbers around in an address or zip code is a significant error when changing addresses.

The good news is that this hassle and potential for error can now be avoided. You are now able to fill out a simple one page form online to change your address with the post office. You can review what you entered yourself to make sure there are no errors and correct them if there are any before submitting the information. The entire process takes about 2 minutes on your own computer in your own home.

Once you submit your change of address, the Post Office will confirm the change by email and by regular mail at your old and new addresses. Within 7 to 10 days from the start date you entered on the form, you will be receiving the forwarded mail at your new address. You will receive mail that is still addressed to your old residence for one year. After that, the mail is returned to the sender with a sticker notifying them of your new address.

When you are getting ready to move, one of the things that is likely on your “to do” list is to turn in a USPS Change of Address form to your post office.  This ensures that mail that is still addressed to your old address will be forwarded to your new one.  But people getting ready to move are very busy, and may not want the hassle of going to the post office to find the form and fill it out.  There is now good news for busy movers.  You can now fill out a USPS Change of Address online in as little as 2 minutes!

You could go to the USPS website to submit an online change of address.  But there is a hassle involved with that too.  The online form is hard to find on the site.  When you do find it, it is several pages long.  There is a $1.00 charge for the “convenience” and for “identity verification”.  Finally, you need to enter your credit card information to pay the charge.  It is more of a hassle than it needs to be.

The good news is that there are now 3rd party sites that will submit your USPS Change of Address to the Postal service on your behalf for free.  There is a simple one page form that takes 2 minutes to fill out. You simply go to the site, fill out the form, and click “submit” and they will promptly and securely send the information to the Postal Service.  There is no searching to find the form, no credit card is required.  You will receive verification of your address change by email and by regular mail at your old and new addresses.

Over the past several months the mister has been working alongside his best friend to join creative forces and start their own design consultancy. They are both talented industrial designers (who went to school together) and this new company will hopefully get them designing products they absolutely love and working with brands they are passionate about. Both men are huge outdoorsy types, so being in the heart of the backcountry is exactly what’s needed. And of course, I’m excited because I get to hop along for the ride.

We’re worked really hard to make all the stars line up AND plan a wedding so bare with me if the blog is a little quiet over the next week. We’ll be making our last trip out to Denver tomorrow to hopefully get our housing situation figured out, and the next step will be to contact Top Removals and set up an appointment. It looks like summer barbecues at a beautiful mid-century modern ranch might be in our near feature 😉

Denver is a completely new city for us and we’re welcoming all the fun places to visit, places to eat/see, etc, so please leave a comment if you know of some gems. We also contacted the houston movers to ease our stress from packing and moving all out stuff so all we can focus on is the beauty of Denver.

Exciting times my dear Veda House readers. Stay tuned!!!

Recent Work: Savvy Home Branding & Web Design

This post has been a long time coming. Over the past several months I’ve had the opportunity to work with Gabrielle Savoie of Savvy Home to help with a total rebranding and website re-design. Professional web design іѕ extremely important fоr еvеrу business, еvеn thоugh уоu mіght nоt bе aware оf іt. Thе quality оf уоur web site design services саn draw visitors іn tо уоur site, оr drive thеm away. Thіѕ іѕ whу hiring thе right web design services іѕ ѕоmеthіng thаt nо business ѕhоuld ignore. Let’s tаkе a look аt https://www.knownhost.com/ for ѕоmе оf thе things уоu ѕhоuld look fоr.

Professional web designers ѕhоuld bе willing tо offer sites thаt аrе wеll рut tоgеthеr, аnd whісh аrе easy tо navigate. Mаnу people focus оn web site design services thаt gіvе thеm a great looking page, but nоt оnе that’s simple fоr users tо understand. Thіѕ іѕ a big mistake, аnd оnе that’ll саuѕе уоur visitors tо leave іn droves – nо оnе wants tо deal wіth a hard tо uѕе website, especially whеn thеrе аrе plenty оf competitors оut thеrе. You can check in this post for more detail about the Website Design.

It’s especially important tо choose web site design services thаt understand thе needs оf people wіth disabilities, аѕ wеll аѕ older users. You’ll bе looking fоr professional web design whісh caters tо уоur desired audience, оf course – a page thаt іѕ mоѕtlу geared tоwаrd young gamers іѕ nоt аѕ likely tо bе concerned аbоut usability аѕ оnе that’s fоr thе general public. Hоwеvеr, making sure thаt fonts аrе large аnd readable, colors hаvе adequate contrast, аnd аll navigation іѕ clear аnd obvious іѕ just good web design. Please visit this site for more information.

Good Web design service wіll provide уоur site wіth a simple аnd easy tо uѕе search interface, аѕ wеll. Make sure thаt thіѕ search isn’t tоо literal – it’ll prevent users frоm finding whаt thеу want іf іt can’t ѕее thrоugh punctuation, search term variants, аnd typos. Yоu want visitors tо bе able tо fіnd еvеrуthіng they’re looking fоr whеn thеу visit уоur page. If you are feeling like you are not getting enough visitors on your website, then make sure you check your website ranking with the website rank tracker to know the ranking of your website according to the google.

All text оn a page рut tоgеthеr bу competent web design services wіll bе easy tо rеаd аnd laid оut іn ѕuсh a wау аѕ tо bе understandable wіth a quick scan. Important information ѕhоuld nеvеr bе located whеrе уоu mіght normally fіnd аn аd, аnd іt ѕhоuld nеvеr look like аn аd. Mаnу users hаvе trained thеmѕеlvеѕ tо bе “ad-blind” аnd won’t ѕее еvеn information they’re looking fоr іf уоu рut іt hеrе. Professional web design services wіll know nоt tо dо thіѕ.

I love fully integrated projects like this because we get to start with a decent base and build onward and upward from there. For this project we started with a total logo redesign and style guide that we later used as a guide for making design decisions. Next we moved on to a few collateral pieces such as business cards, media kits and social media. Lastly we turned her blog into a “blog-site” with much more dynamic content, shopping function, an extensive directory of resources, and a new way for people to get to know Gabby and hire her to redecorate their homes!

These brand build outs are really labor intensive, but when you’re done the results are beyond exciting. You can explore her new website at the link below.

Today, I’ve got a fun brand to share with you. When browsing around for a key pieces to add to my wardrobe for the whole wedding month, I stumbled upon the clothing and accessories line Oysho. In Collaboration w. California Naturels Giveaway! (CLOSED)

This collaboration with California Naturels has come at a great time. I’ve always been a low maintenance kind of gal when it comes to skin care and makeup, so I’ve never really had a solid skin care routine. With the wedding coming up I felt like it might be a great time to start and try out a brand I’ve been inspired by.  All the ingredients are organic and inspired by the simplicity of beach life, which is right up my alley. Bonus, all three products smell amazing (fresh and a little floral). I might even pick up the SPF 30 sunscreen for the honeymoon!

I’ve been using the products with a 3-step approach, starting with the Gentle Cleansing Gel (like a soapy face wash & great for removing makeup), then the Balancing Complex, and finishing with the Nourishing Cream. I love how smooth my skin feels after 5 min of a little pick me up.

+

I’ve loved the products so much that I’ve paired up with the California Naturels team to do a little giveaway.

Here’s how to enter!

1. Visit the California Naturels website to look around and see what product you’re most interested in.

2. Leave a comment telling us what product you’ve picked! That’s it!

Winner will be chosen one week from today, Wednesday April 23rd. Three people will win a full size product of their choice!

Veda News: Observing

One of my favorite blogs to read and bloggers to follow is Jodi of Practicing Simplicity. She’s got a beautiful soul that appears to be full of patience and adventure…in my opinion two really important character assets. I use her blog as a calming tool after a long work day. Recently, Jodi posted a list of random thoughts and it got me thinking. More importantly, it got be observing where I am TODAY….taking mental notes along the way. Thanks Jodi!

I am…

making the last of the wedding DIY projects.
cooking lots of salads and trying not to eat bread!

looking at all the flowering trees.
playing The Lumineers – their songs are contagious.
wasting my time sitting on the couch.
sewing  nothing – I’m not even going to pretend.
wishing for ice cream to appear in my freezer.
enjoying working from home in my studio.
waiting for May 17th – wedding day!
liking having the windows opens and curtains blowing.
wondering if being married will feel different.

loving taking on more photography jobs.
hoping this week flies by – really enjoying my weekends.
marvelling at how things tend to just work out.
needing to workout.
smelling coffee brewing in the french press
wearing jeans and a t-shirt (without a coat!).
following my gut and recognizing my priorities
noticing qualities of true friends.
knowing that all I have to do is take it one day at a time.
thinking about having an early lunch.
bookmarking more and more ideas on Pinterest
opening boxes containing photoshoot props!

In Collaboration w. Commodity Goods (Part 2)

Remember a few weeks ago when I introduced Commodity Goods as a new collaboration? I wanted to stop back by and let you know how the process went for us. We absolutely LOVED everything about the idea of trying a variety of scents (at home) to find our perfect scent. Shopping for perfumes and colognes has always been frustrating for the mister and I and we usually leave the store empty handed and with headaches.

With the Commodity Goods process we were able to slowly try the 10 male and 10 female scents, day by day…really living in the scent. Some scents we loved at first spray, others just weren’t “us”, but we both walked away with a few scents to rotate through as we please.  Not to our surprise we tended to gravitate towards the “fresh” scent category and I threw in a more “floral” scent (Tea) for those special occasions. Our top picks are show above.

Again, If you’re looking for a new scent and are sick of browsing the stinky perfume aisles, give Commodity Goods a try. The team at Commodity never asked me to post about their product, but I loved the experience and end result so much I just had to share!

Studio Hours: Wedding Update

Hi Guys. The one month countdown to wedding week has officially begin. This time next month, I’ll be packing my bags for a whirlwind of a month and couldn’t be more excited. These past few weeks have been spent pulling together the finer details of the event, such as buying clothing for the honeymoon in Tulum Mexico, scheduling salon appointments and making final DJ playlist selections. I’m getting really antsy!!!!

One of the projects I’ve been toying with for months now is making natural fabric dyes to create beach flags for the ceremony. I got the idea fr

href=”http://greenweddingshoes.com/dreamy-beach-proposal-colleen-justin/” target=”_blank”>photoshooton the Green Wedding Shoes website. The flags are dyed using the natural pigments found in yellow onion skins. Its the combination of amount of time in the dye and amount of water that gets the color to range from yellow, to peach, to pink. Lots of experimenting to get just the right colors.

If you’re interested in making your own natural plant based dyes, this is the resource I used.

Hey there! Is it going to be spring yet? The midwest is just holding on to dear life to those chilly days and unpredictable storms…I’ve about had enough of it. With that said, I’ve been oooing and ahhhhing over all the spring jewelry and clothing launches these past few weeks. So many great things happening and some very unique “outside the box” kinda stuff!

One of those really unique brands happens to be Uncommon Matters. Amélie Riech, creator/artist/jewelry maker extraordinaire describes her brand like this…

“When traditional craftsmanship meets the immateriality of the future”

How awesome is that? Geek out moment. Want to learn more about her process or materials used, stop by her site!
