Recent Work: Wedding Save the Dates

The countdown timer says 170 days left….170 more days until I get married next May. Wholy Guacamole!!! These last 6 months of planning have definitely been a whirlwind of exciting milestones (like finding my wedding dress) and daunting tasks (like designing our wedding invites).

Now that the “Save The Dates” are out to family and friends, I thought it would fun to share with you the final pieces. I was SUPER lucky to get the opportunity to work with the very talented Maggie of Type & Title. I illustrated the florals and overall design and Maggie helped me hand letter some key pieces. The words “Save The Date” and our beautiful return address stamp were both created by Maggie and I couldn’t be more pleased.

If you need an incredibly talented (and beyond sweet) hand lettering artist to work with, please contact Maggie 🙂 You can contact her on her portfolio site in the link below. If you’re interested in the construction of the envelopes, please visit this post.

  1. Wow! These are gorgeous! I love that you got to have such a personal touch with them. I will definitely be designing things for my wedding when the time comes, but I can’t imagine how difficult it would be! Big huge props to you! 🙂

  2. Wow wow wow! This came together so perfectly. Love the lettering and the overall design. Just so, so gorgeous.

Again and always– Congratulations! So very exciting.

  3. As usual, your styling and design are so on point — I feel so honored to be a part of this process for & with you! Thanks for all your sweet words, Cassie!

  4. Absolute perfection. I’m trying to improve my hand lettering skills with inks, watercolours and different other mediums, I’m still very far from that amazing result though … I think it gives such an authentic feeling ! BRAVO

  5. Hi where are you located and how much the save the date are? We are getting married in august 2015 and I’m already looking for options.
    Thank you so much

    1. Hi There! Thanks so much for inquiring about the Save the Dates. Unfortunately, I don’t design these pieces for others and only took on the task of designing them for my own wedding. You might want to look into Wedding Paper Divas or Minted.com to see if they have a design you like!

  6. Hi there!

First if all I love the design. Looks great! Question though, I’ve been wanting to include sprigs of rosemary in my wedding invites but am worried about the rosemary going bad while it sits in the mailbox. Did you have that problem or do anything to preserve if before you sent them off?

    1. Hi Lindsay – The rosemary was just for photography purposes and during the wedding itself. I never sent the rosemary with the invites. I think you could send dried flowers, but rosemary may crumble in the mail a bit easier. Good luck!
