First, I’d like to congratulation Lily of Gold & Straw for being chosen as the Diario Shop Giveaway winner! I’ll be emailing you soon about details :) Thank you all for your support of this blog and participation in this little giveaway!

    ——-

I’m completely aware that it’s now January 14, and I’m just now posting about my hopes and dreams for 2014. A little behind the game, I know. That’s ok though, right? There are so many unknowns for the upcoming year, but oddly enough..there are a lot of things already determined. I’ve never had this many BIG life changes happening at once, so wish me/us luck.

Last year at this time, I set 5 parameters for which I would use to guide my decisions and plans for 2013. The parameters were simple… 1. Let it Be, 2. Be More Present, 3. Be Adventurous, 4. Follow My Heart & Feed My Soul, 5. Be More Conscious. I’m pleased to say that I feel I’ve done a good job in all five areas, specially #4. I now have a good foundation for all the wild adventurous that 2014 has in store.

Here are some things I do know…

    1. In 2014 my little business will grow and open so many unexpected doors to new adventures.
    2. In 2014 my personal motto is –> Que Sera Sera (Whatever will be, will be)

    3. In 2014 I will be marrying my longtime love (12 years) on a sandy beach with our closest friends & family.
    4. In 2014 we will pack up all our belongings and move across country (details to come)

I feel very antsy to see how this big grand adventure pans out. Now, thanks to my new tattoo, I have a daily reminder that “Whatever will be, will be”.

Some of my favorite bloggers shared their resolutions and goals as well. Megan wants to continue to live wildly with intention, Kathleen is going to rock the term “mama”, Joy is going to kick envy in the face, Katie writes a love letter to 2013, Mara is selling everything she owns and moving to Ecuador, & Drea talks about her year of Lucidity.

I’d love to hear/read about your intentions for 2014, so please post the links to your posts in the comment section of this post. Can’t wait to see how we’ve all been inspired to start this new year!

I love your tattoo & what it stands for! It’s a great daily reminder. I look forward to see what this year has in store for you. Your blog has become one of my favorites!

    2. Corina Nika says:

I absolutely love it, and the meaning behind it. That’s exactly how i feel about my be present tattoo that i had a couple of months ago

    3. Lovely post Cassie :) I can’t wait to see where you’ll be moving to — what a new and fun adventure! I moved across the country this past year, and it was quite the experience. As for goals, this year I am going to embrace editing in a couple different areas in my life. Now that I’m settled after the move, I finally have room to asses what I need in my life here and now. Cheers to 2014!

Love your little tattoo <3 and you are moving!! That is so exciting, maybe a little bit closer to the pacific northwest? :)

2014 is going to be awesome!

    5. Melanie says:

In 2014 I’m going to BE the artist.

Before January is finished I’m going to do a “word of the year” Pinterest board/collage. I’m still deciding what that word should be…probably FOCUS. :)

Congratulations on all your awesomeness and enjoy what’s to come! xo

    6. Lisa says:

It sounds like you’ve got quite the exciting year ahead of you!

I shared a (partial) list of goals for my year: http://blog.lisa-yoder.com/2014-list-resolutions-vs-goals/

I haven’t taken the time to think out my goals as a whole for 2014 yet but I did give myself a personal motto which is “Screw Perfection”. I wrote a little about it here – http://www.dellie.co/blog/goodbye-2013-hello-2014/

I love that you set parameters to guide you during 2013. I was going to focus on one word to drive me throughout the coming year, but I may set a few more like you did.

      Love the tattoo!

    8. Anna Z says:

I love your tattoo. So elegant and soft.
I’m excited to hear of your new adventures in 2014. Especially excited for your marriage and your move. How exciting! Best wishes Cassie.

    9. Kate says:

This is going to be a big year for you! I’m excited.
I made an “Every Day List” for 2014 of things I’ll do every day (the list / the details).

    10. Krystle says:

What a beautiful tattoo and message. This year I set aside time to reflect on 2013 before jumping into goal setting for the new year. ( I shared my end of year reflections here: http://bit.ly/1eQMfJQ ) I hope 2014 brings you lots of love and happiness.

    11. Laura says:

Loving your tattoo! My mom always used to sing the Doris Day song “Que Sera Sera” when I was growing up, and I just love that sentiment. I can’t wait to hear more about you adventures in 2014 and continue to be inspired by your blog and work!

(and my own new year post here: http://designdotted.com/2013/12/31/a-year-in-review/)

    12. Brittanny says:

Love that tattoo and what it stands for. Thanks for sharing your goals for 2014! Here are mine: http://brittannytaylor.com/blog/intentions-for-the-new-year-2014

    13. Natalie N. says:

Oh Cassie, I wish English were my mother language so I could express my thoughts and hopes better! I don’t have particular resolutions (they inhibit my “follow your heart” part), but if 2013 was all about finding, I want 2014 to be all about improving. I know that I can be, do and make better, and that’s enough for me to keep me focused and patient on my way and to win my fears and self doubts.

I hope that our positive energy will bring us exciting and fulfilling expected and unexpected accomplishments! Cheers lady!

    14. Kathleen says:

LOVE the tattoo. It’s perfect. Have you ever seen the movie Heathers? I can’t hear “que sera sera” without thinking about it (which is A-OK, because the movie is amazing).

Here’s to 2014. I can’t wait to see where it takes all of us. XO
